Hardly a day goes by that we don't get a call from someone who is suddenly facing the prospect of needing a wig either from the onset of Alopecia or because of Chemotherapy or Radiotherapy treatment.

With our years of experience in these matters, we have come to realise that, when such an occasion arises, the vast majority of people know very little about wigs and have no idea where to start.

So we endeavour to guide our clients through what can be a distressing time by offering them the benefit of our expertise and personal knowledge.

For example, what is the difference between a handmade European hair wig, and one that is machine made and bought off-the-shelf? One answer is the fit. Few people realise that everyone's head shape is very different and sizes vary dramatically.

We only make made-to-measure handmade wigs which involves an in depth consultation taking place with careful head measurements and hair colour samples taken. This results in a perfect fit and the client eventually leaving in the knowledge that they have made a worthwhile investment.

Ready-made machine wigs can be bought off the shelf in other outlets. However, they are very unlikely to be a perfect fit or colour match as they have to fit all sizes, and also may not be made from real European hair. This, in itself, needs to be taken into consideration when you are looking to be comfortable as well as looking as natural as possible.

Similarly, we are often asked about the time frame needed to actually make a wig. This varies, but as all the work is done in our central London studio and not overseas, as is often the case, we can offer to complete the wig in little more than two working weeks. Many times this has given great security and peace of mind to those facing the daunting prospect of hair loss.

There are many questions you will want to ask and our helpful, highly experienced team are always available to give you the answers.

You may like to begin by visiting the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section on this site - but remember that it is the private and personal guidance which we can give that will really help and enable you to get a wig which is ideally suited to your own particular problem.
